I have a LOT to be thankful for!

So tomorrow is Thanksgiving and I have a lot to be thankful for! I just wanted to write a little post about how blessed I feel and for some of the many amazing things I have to be thankful for!
1. I am thankful to have the best parents! They gave me a wonderful childhood and have stood by my side and supported me no matter what!
2. I am thankful for my 2 wonderful brothers who mean so much to me that I worry about their happiness and well being everyday. They are such good men, just like our dad!
3. I am so thankful to have had such a sweet little sister growing up, who I look up to and admire the wonderful person and mother she is! I am also so thankful to have Jaime and Michelle who are such sweet and wonderful sister in-laws that I love and feel are my good friends too! It's also been nice to get to know Marissa better too, (and I am thankful to be getting another niece from her!) My dream is to be great friends with all my sisters!
4. I am thankful have a mother in-law that I adore almost as much as my own mom! I really feel like I have two incredible mothers! That is LUCKY!
5. I am thankful to have healthy, beautiful, funny, and (most the time)sweet niece's and nephews!
6. I am thankful for the power of forgiveness and repentance. The fact that I have been given a second and sometimes third, or fourth chance on so many things in my life!
8. I have sooo many things to be thankful for but I will end this post with lucky number 7...
7. I am so very thankful for my husband! I married such a kind hearted, fun loving, sexy, man! He truly is the man of my dreams! I mean just look how hot he is on the outside! It doesn't come close to his incredible spirit inside! I am so thankful for him and the happiness he has brought into my life! He is my Edward!

Happy Thanksgiving!!! What are you thankful for?

"the secret" challenge

So I first heard about "the secret" over a year ago on Oprah. It is a sort of self help way of living and a belief that what you think creates an energy and in turn becomes your life. So if you can learn to control your thoughts and keep them positive you can achieve anything, partially because your thoughts often times turn into your actions as well as the positive energy you put out attracting those things you desire to yourself. On Oprah they talked about vision boards. A vision board is basically like a visual goal board of pictures and words expressing your desires and helping to create positive energy so you can have those desires become real. The guest said he had made a board, ended up packing it away and several years later after moving into a new home he unpacked the vision board only to notice that he had achieved all these things on his board including owning the exact home he had the picture of on his board! So I am pretty open minded and thought I'd try it out. During this time I was in an on and off relationship with Dave and I was very much in love with him, but he wasn't so sure about marriage, so on my board all I put was a picture of a wedding ring, a check I wrote out to myself using Daves last name as my own, and a picture of hotel in a tropical place. Well I put this away and completely forgot about it until last night when a friend of mine and I were talking about "the secret" again. I immediately got the board out and chills hit me as I noticed the picture of the wedding ring on my vision board is the exact ring my now husband, Dave, who's last name I chose to use on the check, gave me and the fact that we got married in Hawaii, of course a tropical place!
So obviously I believe in the church. (Or for those of you who may not know, I am active again and really trying hard to live righteuosly!) So I believe we need to have faith and obey the teachings of the church. But this really fits into that because it's all about putting good energy out to get good things in return. Like through service and paying tithing etc. We know that in this life we make all sorts of sacrifices so we can have an incredible eternal life. So I geuss what I am trying to say is that I challenge you to create your own vision board and focus on the most important things you desire. Maybe this next year will be your happiest and most prosperous inspight of our troubled world and horriblle economy. Like the "twilight" saying, "if you can live for forever, what do you live for?"

Murder mystery party :o

So Alisa hosted a "murder mystery" party tonight. It was a lot of fun! Mom was Amy Whinehouse, oh no, I mean Elvira! Brit was Janice Joplin, Dad was Bing Crosby, I forgot who Ed was! And Dave was the sexiest Elvis I've ever seen! Unfortunately he hurt his groin so he wasn't up for any hip thrusts! He He! Oh ya and I was Mae West. (who ever the heck that is!) The murderer ended up being Jimmy Hendrix even though I thought it was Elvis all along!!! We had a fun night, enjoy the funny pictures!

Girls night out!

So mom decided we needed a girls night out, and what better place than Gardner's Village! Especially when all the witches are out! And no I don't mean us!

Vala was so darn cute! I don't think any other baby has made me baby hungry like she does! She is the sweetest, funniest, little girly girl! At only 18 months we already know that she loves shoes, being told she's pretty and of course shopping! Boy is Ronny in for it! If she weren't so sweet I'd think she was supposed to be my child!
She was talkative tonight but not really smiley until we went into this cute little baby store where she was giggling over this pink, fuzzy, monster like puppet! So we had to buy it for her. It was hilariuos!

I really enjoyed spending time with both my moms, and my sister Brit! How lucky am I to have two wonderful moms that I am so close to! As well as my sisters, who mean so much to me! I'm so glad that I have such a good relationship with Brit and Michelle now, it's pretty great!

Enjoy the pics! (even the lovely ones where I can't seem to keep my eyes open!)

trick or treat street

I met Michelle at the South Towne Expo center for Trick or Treat street! As you can tell by the pics they looked sooo cute!!! I didn't have a costume, besides all my little skimpy ones I'd be embarrassed to wear. So I put my dark wig on instantly became "Skipper" Barbies best friend! Enjoy the pics of the cute little rugrats! (Who, by the way, were so sweet today!)

TAG Your it!

So I got tagged! This tag you are supposed to write 7 quirky things about yourself...

1. If there were only 7...
2. I rearrange my living room furniture in my head several times a day, even though I've actually moved it around every possible way!
3. I have an obsession with decorative pillows! I just love them! I can't seem to get enough! (that goes for designer bags and jeans as well)
4. I have painted my living room at least 6 times in the last year.
5. I am the biggest stress case I know. (not sure that's what you'd call quirky!)
6. I aways have to drive!
7. Lip gloss. I can't live with out it! Oh and by the way my favorite colors ALWAYS get discontinued!

So I think this actually says that I have an obsessive compulsive disorder rather than quirkiness! But I am going to tag all the girls! My sis Brit, Ashleigh, Emily, Jenny, Jaime and all those who just feel like it!

So thanks to Dave's brother Ryan I have some pictures from the small wedding dinner we did at Faustina! Faustina is our favorite restaurant where we met Dick and Debi Nourse. As well as enjoyed many wonderful dinners during our "high roller" times! We wished we could have had more people attend, but unfortunalty we had to keep it small. I also have to say I was sad my brother Tyson couldn't make it.

I have just felt an extreme happiness since I got married. Everything was just perfect! So happy that at times I have felt guilty thinking I don't deserve to be this happy and to be married to the man of my dreams. Then I start thinking of my past and how I made alot of bad choices that caused myself and others alot of pain. Those were what I like to refer to as the "dark ages" of my life. I guess for me I had to get to a real low so I could truly appreciate this incredible high of my new life! I know I have along way to go and there is more mending to do, but I know that I am extremly blessed and I hope to hang on to this incredible feeling that I have for a long time! I also want to shout out a few thanks to all of my family and friends who have been my support and loved me unconditionaly. Thanks to my mom who is always there to walk me away from the ledge. Thanks to my dad who truly is the most selfless person I know. Thanks to my new mom and dad(Debbie and Roger)for being so understanding and wanting me in there family inspite of everything they know about me. Thanks to my sisters, Brit, Michelle and Jaime, who have been such good friends to me and who I look up to because of ther good examples. And a big thanks to my love, Dave, for being my happiness and my strength. (and I don't just mean because of those sexy, big muscles!)I love you all!
