Becoming present

So have you ever just had one of those moments where you become present in your own life? I totally did that yesterday and it's been sticking with me today. I was in the car with Dave and I looked at him and it just hit me, that I have so many wonderful things that I have always wanted! I have been so caught up in the everyday stresses of life and I just haven't realized so many of my blessings. I mean I have married the man of my dreams! Not only is he hot but he is my best friend! I am about to be a mom to a precious baby boy! And the list goes on! I hope it doesn't sound like I am trying to brag, I just thought it was a really neat experience! I highly recommend taking a moment to really think about the things you are most grateful for in your life and truly become present in that moment, you just might be pleasantly surprised with all that you have!

Micajah Conrad

So these pictures were taken last month when we went to St. George with Dave's amily. The first one is Dave with our beautiful neice Preslee! Dave will be such a good daddy! The second one is my belly! It is already bigger now and I feel like I'm stretched to the max! It's hard to believe I will get even bigger!

I am so in love with my baby boy already and Dave and I can't wait to meet him! He is still as wiggly as ever and can throw some pretty good kicks and punches!
We had a good time on our family trip and it will probably be last trip we take before the baby gets here unless we can sneak in a Vegas trip!

I'm not sure if I already mentioned this in a previous post but we are naming the baby Micajah Conrad Poole. Micajah is Dave's great grandfather's name and Conrad is my grandfathers middle name. We joke that we will call him Mic Rad for short! I just love the name and it's fun to tell people and get mixed reactions, you can usually tell if someone doesn't like it! The other cool thing about the name Micajah is that it means friend of Jehovah. I'm so happy we found a unique name that Dave and I both love!

It's a boy!

So I am way too impatient to wait another 3 weeks to have the Dr. tell us what we are having so we went to fetal photo and it turns out we are having a boy! Dave thought all along it would be a boy and I finally had a strong feeling it was a few weeks before we found out. We are super excited though! I did have someone kinda scare me though, because she told me fetal photo got the sex of her baby wrong! So if I come back on another blog to say "just kidding, it's a girl", then you'll know why! Anyway, we did get some adorable ultrasound pics, so I had to post them!
I am very excited to be a mom and I am so looking forward to meeting my son! I just hope I can survive this pregnancy, being the whiney princess that I am!

10 weeks Pregnant

So I am finally starting to feel a little better! The morning sickness is less frequent! But I have to say, I am a huge baby though, because I have been so miserable and I keep thinking I may not be able to do pregnancy more than once! I admire all the mothers out there and especially those mothers who have had more than one! I am told by many that when I have the baby I will forget about the sickness and pain...we shall see!
Pregnancy is pretty amazing and I truly had no idea how fast the baby grows and how much happens on the first trimester alone, it's been very cool and eye opening! This might sound weird but I have to say I am already in love with this baby and I can't stop thinking about when he is finally here! You may wonder why I say "he" because I am only 10 and a half weeks along and obviously don't "know" the sex yet, but Dave and I both have a strong feeling it's a boy! If we are wrong, I will be a little surprised but just as happy! I also already have a little baby bump and besides loose dresses I have NO clothes that feel comfortable! I actually look forward to fitting into maternity clothes because they seem so much more comfy! By the way, the picture I posted is how I want to do the nursery if it's a boy!

The fertility goddess worked!

So I am pregnant! I was shocked. Not because we haven't been trying but I took an early test 5 days ago and it came up negative. So even though Dave told me he had a strong feeling I was, I just didn't think so! Then on Sunday, Brittany told me that Ed had a dream that I was pregnant a few nights ago, and that wouldn't mean anything except he has done that a few other times before and been right! So Brit was so sweet and broke the sabbath for me to buy a pregnancy test and I of course took it and came up positive! I was in shock and Dave was so cute he pulled out his camera and took a picture of the tester, and gave me a big hug! I think he's more excited than me! So now I have to find a Dr. and look forward to a due date of around Novemeber 6, 2010

fertility thoughtfullness

So my mom is so thoughtful! Since Ashleigh couldn't be at her sisters wedding my mom put together a girls night the night of the wedding to help her try and feel better about it! She also planned the funniest thing for me! She bought me a fertility goddess, since I gave one to Jaime and she got pregnant right after I gave it to her and she had been trying for a couple of years! So then she makes Michelle, Brit and prego Ash do this little dance to the song by Beyonce' I think called the single ladies, but she changed the words to the fertile ladies! How clever! She also changed other parts of the song, but I wont write the words, because I think it would embarass her! Lets put it this way, it was hilarious and none of the other girls would say them! Anyway, it totally made my day, especially since I have been stressed over my new store that I am no longer involved in. I will share the sad details in a future blog. I would just like to end saying,I have the best parents! I am so lucky!
