So I was all excited to do the "Grocery Guru" thing where you wait until sales and use the sunday paper coupons for extra discounts. He "the guru", claims you can get like $100 worth of grocerys for $35! So Sunday I am planning everything out and I am all excited to do this. I made Dave come with me to help out and we even went to 2 different stores, well by the time everything was said and done I was only able to use like half the coupons for one stupid reason or another and my grocery bill was pretty much exactly what it usually is! I felt like such a failure! How the hell do these people do it? What am I missing? Oh well! For now I will just keep telling myself it's because I have expensive taste and the things I like are too valuable for coupons and sales! ;) (By the way, the picture has absolutley nothing to do with this post, it's just from one of the staged homes!)

I cannot do the coupon thing either however I am pretty good on shopping the sales.
Ha ha! Yeah, I gave up on that long ago. By the time you go to 2 or 3 different stores you are about ready to go out of your mind anyway, and who has time to do all of that? Time is money in my book! I had to laugh when I read this post because I used to try to do that when we were in med school. Turned out I saved more time, money, and sanity by just going to Walmart and occasionally Costco.
