fertility thoughtfullness

So my mom is so thoughtful! Since Ashleigh couldn't be at her sisters wedding my mom put together a girls night the night of the wedding to help her try and feel better about it! She also planned the funniest thing for me! She bought me a fertility goddess, since I gave one to Jaime and she got pregnant right after I gave it to her and she had been trying for a couple of years! So then she makes Michelle, Brit and prego Ash do this little dance to the song by Beyonce' I think called the single ladies, but she changed the words to the fertile ladies! How clever! She also changed other parts of the song, but I wont write the words, because I think it would embarass her! Lets put it this way, it was hilarious and none of the other girls would say them! Anyway, it totally made my day, especially since I have been stressed over my new store that I am no longer involved in. I will share the sad details in a future blog. I would just like to end saying,I have the best parents! I am so lucky!

in recent news

My consignment store is open and has been for 3 weeks! It's actually going well except that my business partners husband passed away last Thursday unexpectedly from a pulmonary embolism. That was awful news and has been tough to deal with.
I'm just happy that we started the store, because it gives my partner something to do and hopefully partially keeps her mind off her new reality for a short time.

This death has made me very aware of how blessed I am for all of my loved ones and at the same time realize how fragile life is and anyone of us could be gone in less than a moment. So tell everyone you love, that you love them and appreciate all the good around you! I know I am trying harder to do that!

In happier news, Dave and I are officially trying to get pregnant! (Just not right at this very moment! lol) I'm scared but surprisingly more excited than scared right now! We'll see how long that lasts!

I love you and I hope you have a wonderful day!

Nie-Nie and Anniversary

So I haven't posted anything for a while and I know my one reader will be happy to see a new post!
You might notice my new little gadget off to the side of my blog that says "I read Nie Nie". Well that is because my mom, the blog hopper, got me interested in a blog by Stephanie Neilsen. An amazing woman who survived a horrible plane crash inspite of 80% of her body being burned. Anywho, she and her darling husband were on Oprah today and as I sobbed through the interview I realized she has touched my life. Besides the wonderful person she seems to be, she couragously deals with a painful, challenging life now, yet she has so much strength. And in spite of the burns on her face you can just see how beautiful she is! I just feel this admiration for her and as though I need to find my strength and live the best life I can! I also cant help but think of the people I know and love who struggle everyday just to get out of bed sometimes, and I want them to know that they give me strength too! I don't know of the pain they feel, but I do sympathize with them and they are in my prayers always!

I always have to post pictures, they are of me and my wonderful husband, at dinner for our 1 year anniversary!

Look at all that @#$%* hair!

So my sweet baby sister has had struggles in her life that I can't even imagine having to live through. She has struggled with seizures for several years now and the Dr's are baffled with the cause. She has been through a battery of tests and a number of horrible medications, all with horrible side effects. One of those side effects is the loss of hair. So recently she has been losing hair similar to a cancer patient. When I saw her hair loss for the first time today I struggled to hold back the tears. She has not once complained about any of these side effects and is always so sweet. And here I am, at Gardners Village crying over her hair loss, I'm such a baby. Well anyway, she decided that she wanted me to shave her head. She didn't want to wake up one more time with clumps of hair laying in her bed. So she came over today and I got my clippers out and had at it! She has a perfectly shaped head and of course looks adorable bald! But luckily I had a nice brunette wig I bought for halloween a few years ago and she looks so cute in it! My sister has always been an example to for me to look up to and I am grateful for her strength and beauty, inside and out! Next time you see her don't mention the hair, just let her know that she is beautiful and strong, and this world is a better place with her in it! I love Britt! You are my hero!

Grocery deals?

So I was all excited to do the "Grocery Guru" thing where you wait until sales and use the sunday paper coupons for extra discounts. He "the guru", claims you can get like $100 worth of grocerys for $35! So Sunday I am planning everything out and I am all excited to do this. I made Dave come with me to help out and we even went to 2 different stores, well by the time everything was said and done I was only able to use like half the coupons for one stupid reason or another and my grocery bill was pretty much exactly what it usually is! I felt like such a failure! How the hell do these people do it? What am I missing? Oh well! For now I will just keep telling myself it's because I have expensive taste and the things I like are too valuable for coupons and sales! ;) (By the way, the picture has absolutley nothing to do with this post, it's just from one of the staged homes!)

Communion and Midway

So I haven't blogged in a while and my one reader is longing for something new! So I thought I would first write about Cameryns first communion. Cameryn had her beautiful wedding type dress on and the Richards invited us over for brunch. It was really nice! I was hoping to actually go to the communion but didn't make it in time. You see I married a man who is late for everything and is rubbing off on me that way! Just kidding! I actually wasn't feeling well that morning so I slept in. Anyway, it was a nice day with family, and the Richards are like family! They are such generous people and Denise is so cute always making us laugh when she tells any story in her cute, Texas accent! Speaking of their generosity, they let us stay in their hotel room in Midway memorial weekend! It was really fun and very relaxing, I totally could have stayed longer! So the pictures are from the brunch and Midway. Dave and I invited Jaime and Nick to come stay there in Midway one night and we had fun!
